ICBU is Demanding that Leaders of the UAE and Coalition Forces be Prosecuted as War Criminals after attacking a bus and killed 47 people, most of them children

The International Campaign to Boycott Uae (ICBU) condemns the brutal and violent bombardment carried out by the UAE and Saudi Air Force on Saada in Yemen, which killed 47 people and injured 80 others. Most of the victims were children whose bus was targeted in Dahyan market. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen confirmed that a hospital supported by it had received 29 bodies of children under the age of 15 who were killed in the incident, as well as 48 wounded, including 30 children. The campaign called the bombing of the children’s bus in the Yemeni city of Saada a full war crime.

The UAE regime must be held accountable for its crimes against defenceless Yemeni civilians and all its leaders and rulers should be tried as war criminals before international courts and prevented from freedom of movement. It is worth mentioning that the UAE air force launched a violent raid last week on the province of Hodeidah, which resulted in the deaths of 55 Yemeni civilians, including three children and three women, and injured more than 170 others.

ICBU said that the international community, human rights institutions and UN institutions should intervene to stop human rights violations committed by the United Arab Emirates in Yemen and its financing of terrorism. The boycott campaign also called on companies, banks and international institutions to boycott the UAE economically because of its continued funding of terrorism and human rights violations inYemen and to force authorities in Abu Dhabi to respect human rights.

The boycott campaign aims to isolate the UAE economically and politically because of the endless violations of human rights practiced by the UAE, as well as the war crimes in Yemen and violations of workers’ rights. The UAE is a centre of modern slavery and today it is one of the leading countries in the field of human trafficking. UAE still supports terrorist groups in Syria and other parts of the Middle East and East African countries.
