International Campaign to Boycott UAE (ICBU) called Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, United Nations High Commissioner demanding the UN to immediately form a black list of UAE companies involved in human rights violations.

In a letter sent to Al Hussein,  the campaign  explained in numbers and statistics how UAE companies violate the basic rights of migrant workers It also detailed how migrant workers suffer different types of abuse as well as lacking health and safety measures at the workplace.

ICBU urged  the Commissioner to add this issue on one of the HRC item agendas such as item 4 or item 3.

Migrant workers in UAE are not getting their rights. Many of them are trapped and work in miserable conditions. Lately, Louvre Abu Dhabi was caught on a scandal where few workers died due to work pressure and lack of monitoring.
