International Campaign to Boycott UAE  (ICBU) criticised the United Arab Emirates continued media incitement and negative discourse against United Nations organisation, most recently the report of the United Nations’ Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Technical Mission to Qatar.

Abu Dhabi TV has accused OHCHR of receiving a bribe from Qatar and that some of the employees travel to Qatar regularly. The gross accusations show how UAE can’t stand any criticism of its human rights violations and  grim behaviour against its neighbours.

Dubai TV which claims that UAE is the oasis of freedom and democracy attacked the report and described the UN as corrupt entity.

The UAE media like the Gulf News stated “the report failed to be neutral or objective in its understanding and assessment of the Qatar crisis and its context…the report was not neutral, included unfounded accusations and embraced Qatar’s position based on false claims that Doha seeks to promote regionally and globally,”

ICBU call on the UN to disqualify UAE of the UN HRC membership and it should not be among the member states which decide the broad human rights policies worldwide. An action has been launched recently by ICBU with the goal to kick UAE from human rights council due to its terrible human rights record.
